Tabasco
Since 1868, the McIlhenny Company has been producing its famous sauce on
Avery island, just off the coast of southwest Louisiana.
Tabasco
pepper sauce is the same today as it was 130 years ago. It is unlike
cayenne pepper sauces since it has a special aroma, a piquant flavour
and a spicier heat level. It contains no additives, preservatives, food
colouring or stabilizers.
Tabasco
pepper sauce is all natural, made only from ripe, hand-picked peppers.
Crushed with Avery Island rock salt. The only hot sauce aged in white
oak barrels for three years. Inspected for colour and aroma, blended
with strong vinegar and strained for seeds and skins.
Peppers used in Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce are four times hotter than most cayenne peppers and
an incredible 40 times hotter than most jalapeno peppers!
